Welcome to old Marblehead. Leave your motor vehicles home and come travel down the dirt roads by horse and buggy. Pardon the smell of fish in the air, that's how most of us make a living! Here you will find some of my favorite "old photographs" depicting Marblehead in the years gone by. Many of these were scanned from the original glass plate negatives from the Fred Litchman Collection which range in size from 4" x 5" to 11" x 14". Others were scanned from photographs, stereo views, postcards and other memorabilia from my large private collection. The dates range from 1860's to 1940's and I have well over three thousand different images. Included in the collection are numerous people photographs many of them identified with names.
