I am ALWAYS looking for more stereoviews and will buy individual cards or collections of Marblehead and surrounding areas.

Stereoviews were made as early as the 1850's and became very popular from 1870 through the 1890's. They were made using a special stereo camera with two lenses giving the same perspective as your eyes. The two individual photos would be cut and carefully pasted on a card. When viewed with a stereoviewer, as shown in the photo above, you see one three dimensional image. One of Marblehead's largest publishers of stereoviews was Merrill H. Graves.
